Shanaka Sumanasekara: Architectural Photography Portfolio

The Challenge

In a competitive property and design market, developers, architects and agencies need photography that sells a space, not just documents it. Shanaka needed a portfolio that positioned him as a premium architectural and real estate specialist and turned high-end visuals into booking enquiries.

Overview

A custom portfolio site for Shanaka Sumanasekara, an architectural, real estate and lifestyle photographer and videographer based in Sri Lanka. Image-first galleries put the work up front, and clear positioning as an architectural and real estate specialist speaks to developers, architects and agencies looking for premium property visuals.

The Solution

We built the site in Next.js with a Python and PostgreSQL back end on an Ubuntu VPS. The work leads: large galleries, a cinema section for property films and drone work, plus a store, a blog and a contact page, all reachable from a short numbered menu.

The copy and page titles position Shanaka as an architectural, interior and real estate specialist, so the site speaks directly to the architects, developers and property brands who commission that work.
