The Challenge

Small shops and service businesses in the UAE want websites that look like the big brand stores, with a shop that suits how they actually sell: delivery or pickup, cash on delivery, bank transfer and VAT invoices. Getting that usually means a developer or a stack of add-ons. We wanted one product that does both, at one monthly price, without anyone writing code.

Overview

CPS Theme Builder is our own product: a multi-tenant website builder that customers sign up to and run themselves, with Amazon Brand Store style tile layouts, a blog, lead forms and SEO tools for 35 USD a month. CPS eMart is the same platform with a full online store added, for 60 USD a month. Both start with a 7-day free trial.

The Solution

We built CPS Theme Builder as a multi-tenant platform: Next.js and React for the editor and the customer sites, and a Python Flask API with PostgreSQL behind it. Every customer gets a workspace and a site on a free subdomain, and can connect their own domain with HTTPS issued automatically.

The editor is built around tile layouts in the style of Amazon Brand Stores, with separate mobile and desktop arrangements, alongside carousels, cards, video reveal and product selector sections. Drafts, published versions, undo and redo and private preview links make it safe to change a live site. Around the editor sit a page tree with automatic menus, per-page SEO, a blog, forms with an inbox, cookieless insights, a redirects manager and multi-language sites, including Arabic laid out right to left.

The online shop is sold as its own plan, CPS eMart, so a business that only needs a website can choose Theme Builder and add the store later. eMart adds a catalogue with variants, stock and bulk price breaks, a checkout with delivery or pickup, delivery windows and Makani addresses, discount codes, VAT invoices and order tracking. Payments go directly to each merchant's own PayPal account. Each gateway charges in the shop's own currency when it supports it, and otherwise in US dollars at the official rate for pegged currencies or the merchant's own rate, with the amount shown to the shopper before they pay. Cash on delivery, bank transfer and pay on pickup are there as alternatives. A third plan, CPS Custom, adds custom apps and integrations built by our team on top of eMart. All three plans are billed automatically every month by card through a PayPal subscription.
